Volume 2, Issue 8 is here!

Whether you’re still in the school system or just feeling the back-to-school buzz, September’s fresh-start energy is something we all share. It’s a time to reflect on the passing of time and anticipate new opportunities that come with the changing season.

We’ve got a big, beautiful issue for you this month, celebrating and exploring fall in Lunenburg County. From the Lunenburg Doc Fest lineup and the ever-popular Mahone Bay Scarecrow Festival, to fall fashion and 5 haunted places in Lunenburg County. Plus, we’ve got local news coverage of the residential units planned in Blockhouse, the Mobility Cup at Lunenburg Yacht Club, and an almond harvest in Bridgewater later this month. Check out some of the nominees for the new Lunenburg Queens Business Excellence Awards, and of course, the regular columns from your favourite contributors.

The looming elections are top of mind for us here at the Barnacle. The official nominated candidate lists have been released and the race is officially on. Visit our Election Central page to see all up-to-date information about the fall municipal elections.

Thank you, dear reader, for checking out this month’s issue. If you feel compelled to write a piece for the Barnacle, drop us a line! We are always looking for new contributors.
