Lunenburg County’s folklore is so rich it has even influenced the world’s most popular superhero franchise. Iron Man (2008) reinvigorated Robert Downey Jr.’s career and kicked off Disney’s popular Marvel Cinematic Universe which now has 34 movies and 11 television series. One of those series is Loki – in episode five, the mischievous Loki is flying around the offices of the Time Variance Authority, and they have a Sacred Timeline monitor that shows something important is happening in our own Oak Island. Maybe the real treasure on Oak Island is its magic force that keeps us all curious about its mystery.
