Susan Sanford, Councillor in the Town of Lunenburg, has confirmed she is not reoffering for election in the October Municipal Election.
Sanford announced her decision at the meeting of Lunenburg Council on April 23.
Sanford said her decision to not reoffer is because she is downsizing from her home in the Town of Lunenburg and will be leaving town. She said she will be completing her term on Council.

Sanford is the first Councillor in the Town of Lunenburg to publicly announce whether they are pursuing re-election in October, other than Mayor Jamie Myra, who has confirmed with The Barnacle he is reoffering.
