Jamie Myra, Mayor of the Town of Lunenburg, has confirmed to The Barnacle he intends to reoffer for his position in October.
Myra was elected in August 2023 in a special by-election following the resignation of Mayor Matt Risser.
Asked on April 25 in a phone interview whether he intends to run again, this time for a full term as Mayor, Myra says: “My full intent right from the word ‘Go’ was to, in the by-election, get my feet wet, get somewhat comfortable at the table, and then run for office as Mayor, so I definitely intend to put my name on the ballot in fall.”
