The Municipality of Chester has confirmed their electoral polling district boundaries will not change in the upcoming October 2024 municipal election.
The Municipal Government Act required every Nova Scotia municipality to perform a boundary review in 2022 – this happens every eight years.
The Barnacle contacted the Municipality of Chester to ask whether their 2022 boundary review determined they will change their polling district boundaries in 2024.
Pam Myra, Municipal Clerk/Director of Human Resources with the Municipality of Chester, confirms Chester’s 2022 polling district application to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board (NSURB) maintains consistent district boundaries.
