Quiz: What Does Your Junk Drawer Say About You?

What does your junk drawer say about you?

In last month’s quiz, we mentioned spring cleaning. It’s that time of year when the flowers bloom, birds start singing, and many of us silly human beings subject ourselves to the gargantuan task of cleaning out our junk drawers. Today, let’s find out what your junk drawer reveals about you…

What are you most likely to find in your junk drawer?

A whooole stack of old faded receipts & a now defunct LaHave Ferry punch card.
A mix of (maybe?) dead batteries, lozenges, and illegible notes to self.
A rather large collection of pretty rocks, seashells and loose sand from the beach.
Screws, old cables that don’t plug into anything anymore, and random tools I never use.

When was the last time you cleaned out this drawer?

Uhhhh, I kind of started and then gave up during last year’s spring cleaning?!
Errrr, it was clean on the day I moved in to this place?!
Welll, I clean this drawer once a month… but it’s still a disaster.
Yeeuhhhh, I shoved some things around during the winter months I think?!

How do you deal with the random assortment of pens in your junk drawer?

Get a nice fresh sheet of foolscap, line them up and test each one.
Keep them all because there may still be a lil’ life left in any of ’em!
Judge the amount of ink in each by closing your eyes and using the force.
Just move them all into a novelty cup & pretend they’re better organized.

After you’ve ‘finished’ cleaning your junk drawer, how do you usually feel?

Proud of my work… for about 30 minutes, until I need something from in there.
Accomplished, but I try not to let it go to my head, I know what it’ll look like in 2 weeks.
Frustrated. I think I cleaned, but I’m not even sure I made a dent in the mess.
Shhh, we don’t talk about the “drawer that mustn’t be named” anymore.
