The end of summer is drawing near. Find out which South Shore Goblin embodies your end-of-summer spirit.
In your opinion, when is summer officially over?
When the kiddos are back in school!
I drag it out as long as possible. If it’s still warm, it’s still summer!
It’s over now. Bring out the pumpkins and tiny chocolate bars, please.
Summer ends on September 20th.
How do you feel as summer draws to a close?
I’m already looking ahead to a fun-filled autumn. No need for melancholy!
I feel a piercing and all-consuming despair.
I’m itching for it to be over. I’m tired of the heat and want to wear my cozy sweaters.
I feel slightly sad but mostly satisfied with all the great memories I made!
What are you looking forward as we inch into September?
Back-to-school vibes, chilly mornings, and falling leaves.
Taking advantage of the last few warm days before we descend into a bleak tundra of darkness.
I can’t wait to pick out my Halloween costume and eat a questionable amount of mini Mars Bars.
I look forward to enjoying our region as it slows down and gets quieter.
When you were a child, how did you feel about back-to-school shopping? If you’re a student/teacher, how do you feel about it now?
I love buying new aesthetic pencils, notebooks, etc.
I hate it. It makes it official that summer is over.
I’m more interested in getting some cool Halloween decorations.
I have everything that I need. Buying stuff doesn’t bring me that much pleasure.
On the last day of summer, whatever that means to you, what will you be doing?
I’ll be sitting with my calendar/planner on the porch with a cup of coffee, excitedly planning my autumn, and hopefully sniffing the air for hints of fall smells.
I’ll be weeping on Crescent Beach, then returning home and sitting on my couch for many hours while wistfully scrolling through pictures of my summer adventures.
I’ll be searching for Halloween costume inspiration online or perhaps lurking around Value Village to see if their costumes are out yet.
I’ll be enjoying one final hurrah with friends or family—kayaking, beach-chilling, or hitting up a local café and enjoying a long, relaxed hang-out on the patio.
