Protecting Newly Planted Trees

“This is a hands-on FREE permaculture workshop. Pre-registration required on Eventbrite. Learn how to install some stakes and temporary fencing/mesh to protect trees from winds and deer. We will also use the sheet mulch method in work areas and paths. You will be pounding metal posts, cutting and setting up wire mesh. You will be preparing and laying out cardboard, moving soil & mulch with shovels and wheelbarrows. Dress for the weather: protective work boots, work clothes and gloves; ear protection. Bring: drinking water/beverage; a snack will be provided. If you have it: a shovel. We also need a few more wheelbarrows.”
