Open Food Forest Day

“Welcome everyone, all ages, to Nova Scotia’s first school-based food forest! We are thrilled to open our new forest to everyone! Come celebrate early summer, Nipniku’s, Trees Fully Leafed time. Take a tour, plant herbs and perennials, drop into a workshop, scavenger hunt, games, and more. Meet Sugarfoot, Hinchinbrook Farm’s mini-horse. Many people and local organizations have supported this project to begin the transformation of lawn to biodiverse forest, a place where our students and community can come together to learn, work, eat and play.
