OffshoreWind4Kids Interactive Showcase

“Looking for a fun and educational summer activity the whole family can enjoy? Love going to the beach? Add the OffshoreWind4Kids Interactive Showcase to your 2023 beach agenda and learn about the importance of renewable energy and how to build and test mini offshore wind turbines! COVE has teamed up with OffshoreWind4Kids, with support from the RBC Foundation through RBC Tech for Nature, in hosting the OffshoreWind4Kids Interactive Showcase. This event is designed for youth and their families to learn about the offshore wind industry and to inspire youth about future career paths. You and your family are invited to join Kat Mataya, Education and Outreach Manager, and Sydney Silver, Training and Education Coordinator at COVE, for the interactive event at Rissers Beach on August 13th, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. or from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. The event is recommended for ages 8 – 13. You only need to register for one general admission ticket to reserve a spot for your family/group. Registration on the day of will open 15 minutes prior to the event. Please be sure to show up on time, otherwise your spot may be released for walk-ins. In the event that the weather does not cooperate, the rain date will be August 20th with the same times and location.”
