Volume 3, Issue 3 is here

Your monthly pick-me-up is here!

Whether you agree with Daylight Savings Time or not, it’s still a time of year to celebrate the return of the light. With the changing season comes budget season for many local municipalities. Add in the fact that the legislature was in session in Halifax, and it’s hard to ignore that winter hibernation is over—people are ready to get moving and grooving.

I’m not sure about you, but February really kicked my butt. The 28 days didn’t feel like nearly enough time to recover from the icy winter. I’m still struggling to motivate myself to get out of the house after work, but having dinner with friends while the sun set (after 7pm!) and the moon rose on the eve of this Barnacle delivery at least helped me get into first gear.

If you’re also trying to a find a pick-me-up, why not hit up one of the many local events going on.

One of the best ways (we think), to stay up-to-date with all the spring activities is to check out the Barnacle Events Calendar. I am always shocked at the diversity and sheer number of events going on in the area on any given day. If you’re hosting an event soon, be sure to submit your community event for free through our easy online submission form.

At this time of year, it’s easy to see why so many people choose to live here. I hope you take the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of a Lunenburg County spring.
