The South Shore Regional Hospital Auxiliary is pleased to donate $5000 to the Bridgewater Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission. The money will go towards funding the kitchen renovation. The update will help the Mission to feed homeless people and those affected by food insecurity in Lunenburg County.
The Auxiliary heard about these efforts from Jennifer Parnell who is with the Bridgewater Mission. Her description of the daily challenges faced by clients of Soul’s Harbour provided a vivid snapshot of the need for ongoing funding and support. In cold weather the Mission provides hot meals, a warm place to go and free clothing for anyone who asks.
With its donation, the Auxiliary wishes to show its wholehearted support for the important work of the Soul’s Harbour Rescue Mission throughout the year.
