The high-stakes competition is hosted by Pleasant Paddling in Blue Rocks each summer and raises funds for PRO Kids, a local fund that provides financial assistance to children and youth from the Municipality of Lunenburg who, due to lack of funds, are not able to participate in sport, recreation and cultural activities.

Local Lucas Dee made an astonishing 22 skips to be named the Nova Scotia Provincial Champion. The Rock Skip Jump World Champion is Troy Hopkins.

Congratulations are also in order to Finn and Madeline, the two youth champions of 2024.
