We’re coming together to celebrate that with all our cycling pals (including you\, plz come). \nDate: Saturday\, October 4\, 2025 \nTime: 6pm to 8pm \nLocation: Old Confidence Lodge\, 3831 Hwy 332\, Riverport\, NS \nThere’s going to be so much goodness: \n– Free basic bike tune-ups by a bike mechanic\n– Free food by Rivercroft Farm\n– Film screening ft. local folks who cycle commute\n– Cake by Famous Town\n– Cash bar (alcohol & non-alcohol available)\n– Chance to win a brand new bike from the Lunenburg Bike Shop\n– Time to hang out with pals\n– Cycle Chit Chat with Elspeth McLean-Wile (Mayor of the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg)\, Jennah Barry (local human who cycles and Owner of Famous Town Pie Shop)\, Evan Spencer (Active Transportation Coordinator at Cycling Nova Scotia) – ask your questions to the panel! \nThere are a bajillion reasons to cycle as your mode of transportation (fresh air\, body and mind feel nice\, no gas $ needed\, less carbon emissions\, talk to your neighbours\, see a baby deer\, etc). \nWe interviewed ten folks in Lunenburg County about the joy and opportunities for cycling as a mode of transportation in our community and we’re sharing those interviews with you at this event in a short documentary film! \nThere are no official bike rides to the event from surrounding communities (but if you want to organize one\, let us know!) \nThis is a family friendly event. Bring ur kid. Bring a friend. Bring ur mom (mom if you’re reading this you better come). This is an inclusive and welcoming space.
